Yay! I am so excited about next week. We will be officially starting both the girls curriculums. Little Hands to Heaven for Avery and Little Hearts for His Glory for Savanna. We are starting early because 1) I am excited about it 2) we have all had a break from preschool, 3) I will have a break from my schooling soon, and 4) I want to be ahead of the public school system. We will be taking a week off here and there since we are starting early, but I don't want to go for too long (say 3 months during the summer) or I feel that the girls will lose some of what they have learned. I also want to create an environment where learning is fun and interesting, and not something that is only done on September through June, weekdays, from morning to afternoon. So anyways, just a heads up that we will be starting in 4 days! :)
Oh, and Avery will be starting over completely....so there will be a lot of repeats!

Letter C
This week is letter "c", square, yellow, and the number 3.
"C" is for Cotton letter collage pages.
Savanna made some "C"s for Avery.
She was having so much fun she wanted to do another. :)
Picking the cotton off of her fingers.
Drawing lines from big C to little c. She did awesome!
Just a side note, I put vinegar and water in squirt bottles so they can help clean. They love them and always ask to clean the floor in the kitchen. (Too bad it doesn't work for picking up toys) ;)
Yay for letter "C". Blessings <3

A Few More Bs
I wanted to do a few more B's, mostly just to do the crafts and have them as keepsakes. I also really wanted to do the butterfly one because its so stinkin' cute.
So, here is Avery's taped "B".
Savanna wanted to practice her "B"s too. :)
And here's the cute butterfly craft I wanted to do. I got this grand idea off of Crystal & Co.
And here is Savanna's butterfly. I'll take more picture tomorrow when the sun is shining through them.
And a little game time before bed.
Letter C starts tomorrow! :)

I Ordered Our Kindergarten Curriculum
I am so super excited! I ordered Savanna's Kindergarten curriculum today! :) Yay!
She will be doing Heart of Dakota's Little Hearts for His Glory as her core. We will be doing Math U See's Alpha level for math, the Logic of English Foundations set, and See The Light Shine Art Class. I spent a good chunk of change on her curriculum but it is so worth it to have her at home where we can both learn together. This is such a joy and a blessing to have the opportunity to do this for my girls. I am so happy to give them a Christ centered education. I am truly blessed beyond measure. Here's a list of link's if you want to check them out for yourself. eekk (Im excited)!

Last day of Letter A
Today was cute. She helped glue everything on. She did really good at the circle as well.
We are doing the animal letter of the week, which is from 1plus1plus1equals1
The number one worksheet on the left is from our curriculum, Little Hands to Heaven. The one of the right if from ABCJesuslovesme
The circle worksheet is from 1plus1plus1equals1
Our music, The Singing Bible, came with our Little Hands to Heaven.
And my beautiful binder (love it) that I got from Target.

Day Two
Even though today is day two, I decided to do her first day of school picture and her 'about me' page. This is going in the front of her keepsake binder. We have one without all my drawings on it for her daddy to keep as well.

We got these printables from Thirty Handmade Days

I only took about 30 pictures to get this one, and its perfect! :)

Here's our letter of the week letter collage. We used stars because they are pretty, and we don't have any apple seeds or apple jacks to glue on. This printable is from Confessions of a Homeschooler

And here's my other bug, sick all day :( Poor girl has been vomiting everything up. But by the time I am posting this (10pm) she is going a bit better. And Avery hasn't show any symptoms so that's good!

Until next time, Amber

Avery's First Day!
Obviously, our first week of school is the letter A. We are also focusing on the color red, circles, and the number one.

After reading our bible we talked about how God said "let there be light," and there was light. So we drew on a white piece of paper with white crayon and then painted over it with black watercolor.

We are using the Heart of Dakota preschool curriculum, Little Hands to Heaven. I am also adding in my own mixture of "letter, number, color, shape of the week"
